Checked 18 October 2026: v1.0.0 is available on npm.

## Usage

```text
ath delete <record-id> --revision 2 --json
```

## What it does

Writes a normal deletion record after preview and confirmation. The record disappears from current views, but its complete revisions remain available.

## Not privacy erasure

Use ath erase when values and dependent records must be removed. Deletion deliberately keeps history.

## Options

| Argument or option | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `--revision <number>` | current record revision |
| `--file <path>` | change another database |
| `-y, --yes` | write after review |
| `--dry-run` | preview without writing |
| `--json` | structured preview; never confirms the write |
