Checked 18 October 2026: v1.0.0 is available on npm.

## v1.0.0 — SQLite live record

Merged 13 October 2026 in upstream PR #14. npm publishes v1.0.0 as latest.

Checked 18 October 2026: v1.0.0 is available on npm.

## Storage and portability

The live record is now one athlete.ath.sqlite database. Dense samples moved into SQLite. Attachments remain sibling files. JSON remains a complete, deterministic import and export package, but an export is a snapshot and does not stay synchronized.

New databases use owner-only permissions where supported. ATH does not encrypt the database; use operating-system disk encryption. Do not copy an open write-ahead-log database as a backup. Use ath export or SQLite's online backup operation.

## CLI changes

New command groups cover export, stable record lookup, correction, import conflicts, named calculations, normal deletion and privacy erasure. Import is preview-first. --json never confirms a write.

ath link now uses stable result and session IDs plus an expected revision. ath grade now grades an existing prediction against an existing result; the old benchmark plus --actual form and --analysis flag are removed. ath log is the only result-entry command.

```text
ath export ./athlete-backup
ath records list
ath calculate baseline hrv_rmssd --from 2026-07-01 --to 2026-09-30 --timezone America/Chicago
```

## Breaking compatibility

ATH v1 does not import Athletic Standard documents below 1.0.0. The detailed v0.4.3 migration appendix in the upstream build history is explicitly superseded and was not implemented.

Keep the old v0.4.3 package available for reading 0.x files. To move forward, create a fresh v1 database and import the original Apple Health, WHOOP or Oura exports. Do not claim that old ATH JSON can be converted automatically.

## What remains

Local use still needs no ATH account, network connection, subscription or hosted service. Apple Health, WHOOP and Oura provider imports remain supported. Sources remain separate, measured records remain distinct from athlete reports, and ath share remains unimplemented. Node.js 20 or newer and the MIT license remain unchanged.
